In this, I’m no different from the average American: I hate my job. Not because I hate working – much the other way around – but rather because I very much hate the way things work in the old-fashioned corporate America; although thankfully change is now slowly creeping in, working with certain close-minded corporations can be truly disgruntling. This is particularly true for people who have proactive spirits and enjoy learning new things. As opposed to mindless corporate drones. And even though I may come across like some kind of lost teenage rebel the way I’m talking, that’s just because I’m angry about the way I was looked down upon for trying to bring a new idea to work.

You see… while approaching my supervisor casually, and I told him I’d read about a website called learn, which is a highly regarded company that specialized on improving productivity and on-demand workforce development. I mentioned I’d been using their website to develop my working skills, and I suggested it might be interesting to get a representative from their company to make a little corporate presentation. Do you know what my superior told me? “You might as well get back to your own work boy, and make sure you get it done – rather than worrying about doing my job”. He didn’t even let me finish! I’m telling you, I’m wasting myself in this dead-end job.
