I’ve always wanted to get a car with ac compressor, and I guess this is the time when I take a shortcut to fulfilling my dreams. Well, sort of! Even though I can’t quite afford a new car with AC, I recently realized I can just get myself a used air conditioning compressor for my used car! Isn’t that brilliant? I thought about it while browsing this auto ac parts catalogue, where I found a Chevrolet AC Compressor for just a few hundred bucks! I guess it won’t be hard finding an AC for my old Pinto for a hundred bucks, right? Well, wish me luck!

So, have you ever seen the news on armored cars? If not, do allow me to get you up to speed:

Yeah, I know. This really isn’t the kind of car your average Joe will ever want (or be able to) buy. It’s not the kind of car that simple people like you and me will ever need, but all the while… has someone noticed how mind-blowing awesome those Armored Vehicles are? Just thing of everything you could do, if you were driving one of these! And I don’t mean just driving around in a war theater and getting out unscathed, either! In my opinion, there are lots of other subtler uses for a reinforced vehicles such as this one.

Just think about it! Even though they look pretty much like a regular luxury car, these vehicles are extremely resistant. That means you could bump into any car and pretend it was none of your business; you could really wreak havoc GTA style and go by unnoticed. Alright, maybe I’m going a little bit too far with this reasoning, but all the while the thought of driving a scratch-proof vehicle sure sounds appealing. Oh, for the sake of humanity, I sure hope I’ll never be able to afford one of these armored vehicles. I’m actually a very quiet person usually… but sometimes the driveway stress just gets to me in sudden, unexpected ways!

Ah… today is the first day of spring, and we all know what that means, right? Right, summer is just around the corner, so this is the time one should start dealing with all the technicalities necessary for carrying out an awesome time in the sun. Personally, one of the things I really enjoy doing in the sunny season is taking the old van out from the garage and going out for some adventure on the road. For young people who enjoy travel ling and also who aren’t obscenely rich, a van (or even better, an RV) is the favored means of transportation when it comes to vacations.

Yeah, some people may not think of that as classy vacations, but for me it’s all about the adventure. And just as soon as I check up on my Van Insurance, I’ll be ready to start cruising the highway. The coolest thing about this insurance company is they have a best price money back guarantee, and all-around good options for the sunny traveler type such as myself. Whenever I get a few days off, I’ll just pack up some clothe and supplies, get some nice company and a map / GPS, and just get out and do some explorations. See, kiddies? Now, that’s what I call a car! I hope you don’t assume I have delusions or grandeur, but truth of the matter is that I think this is a car that speaks volumes about its owner – as far as elegance and good taste are concerned, that is!

A friend of mine e-mailed me a link this BMW Cars for Sale website just to pull my leg… but I’m telling you, one day I’ll be the rightfully sophisticated owner of such an awesome machine as the one you see in the video up there… well, even if I have to settle for a Used BMW 5 Series… I mean, you can’t be picky nowadays with the recession and all, right?

Ahh, the wonders of youth… a time in life which is defined by uncanny skill in doing all kinds of wrongs – but then again that’s how you learn and grow, right? In all circumstance, there are some people that really go out of their way to pull out some remarkably moronic stunts while jeopardizing their own physical integrity as well as their vehicles. If you’re wondering just what I’m talking about, I found a video which clearly illustrates this principle. Here you go:

See? After watching this enticing footage, I’d like to suggest a word for the wise: come on guys – if you really enjoy your car, try to put some effort into NOT trashing it down. Or at the very least, go out and look at some auto insurance quotes that might cover reckless behavior and mind-numbing daredevil urges. Honest, it’s just that simple… either get proper insurance quotes or really grow up and stop being a fool: preferably both!

The paint booth that will re-color my red car!

I’ve been thinking about painting my car lately – not because it really needs it, but pretty much because I don’t like the color. I hate red cars, but a few months ago I was offered the chance to buy this one at a very competitive price, so I figured I could just get it painted in a different color eventually.

Well, as it turns out getting a full paint job was more expensive that I had anticipated, so I decided I’d wait and look around for a better deal. Luckily, today I noticed a magazine ad for paint booths, and upon further research, I think this might be what I’m looking for.

In case you haven’t heard about it, there are two kinds of automobile paint booths: Dry Filter Paint Spray Booths and Water Wash Spray Booths (the names refer to the process which is used to remove the old paint). Many people seem to believe that Dry Filter is a more effective and inexpensive method, but turns out it’s actually quite the opposite. After doing some research, it seems that Water Wash is more effective and less expensive, although there aren’t as many paint booths available using this method.

Regardless… I do think I might have lucked it out, since I found a place just a few city blocks away from where I live, where they’re using the water wash technique. So before going for it, I figured it would be wise to ask around some people for their personal experience with having their car painted in a booth. And yes, as you might have noticed I sure like to get my facts straight before making a decision.
