A small bathroom vanity mishap…

I’m not sure I wanna tell you in detail, good reader, about the sequence of events that put me out on the market for bathroom vanities. I’m going to tell you this: what happened unfolded from a simple and innocent online book order, where I would benefit from free shipping if I’d add a book under $10 to the shopping cart. So, while I was browsing their catalog thinking about what kind of book I’d want to add, a little graphic caught my eye, announcing a special illustrated edition of the Kama Sutra for a special price: $9.99. Well, and the rest – like they usually say – is history.

I’m actually of two minds on this whole issue: on one hand it’s utterly embarassing, but on the other hand it was so insanely funny, I simply can’t help talking about it. One minute, there I was practicing the lovely art and trying to focus on those diagrams… the next minute, just before the Bathroom Vanity collapsed, my girlfriend was pointing out how she thought she’d heard a little cracking sound. Bloody cheap bathroom furniture, I had no idea it would be so flimsy.

This time around, I’ll make sure to purchase a decent bathroom vanity, and maybe I’ll go for a Single Vanity and maybe get some extra space in my bathroom. It’s actually surprising how there are so many different models available on the market, nowadays! I’m thinking about going for something really plain and simple: that way I’ll save lots of time, when I have to clean the bathroom. I really hate the old-fashioned kind of furniture, with all its angles and decorative bumps. Well, all in all maybe it wasn’t so bad that I busted my old bathroom vanity… now that I’m thinking about it, I never really did like that old thing. Change is part of life, and most often change is a good thing!

Motorcyles? Not really my thing, at all!

I’m not a big fan of bikes, really. As much as I love cars, bikes are a different kind of story. Well, a bunch of years ago a cousin of mine got crippled from a motorcycle accident, and if up until then I wasn’t already much of a motorcycle fan, from that moment on I became diametrically opposed to any kind of motor vehicle with less than 4 wheels. You can call me a wussy that way, but I much prefer keeping it safe as far as such matters are concerned. If you make a point to differ, all that I can say is… best of luck with that!

What were they thinking, why didn’t they get auto insurance?

Ahh, the wonders of youth… a time in life which is defined by uncanny skill in doing all kinds of wrongs – but then again that’s how you learn and grow, right? In all circumstance, there are some people that really go out of their way to pull out some remarkably moronic stunts while jeopardizing their own physical integrity as well as their vehicles. If you’re wondering just what I’m talking about, I found a video which clearly illustrates this principle. Here you go:

See? After watching this enticing footage, I’d like to suggest a word for the wise: come on guys – if you really enjoy your car, try to put some effort into NOT trashing it down. Or at the very least, go out and look at some auto insurance quotes that might cover reckless behavior and mind-numbing daredevil urges. Honest, it’s just that simple… either get proper insurance quotes or really grow up and stop being a fool: preferably both!
