When the love for your vehicle gets out of perspective.

When someone is truly passionate about their car, they tend to humanize it. Sometimes quite severely. I had a friend who was do deeply in love with his car that he didn’t talk about “seeing the mechanic”. Nope, he usually preferred the expression “doctor’s appointment”, and that’s by no means an overstatement. He would spare no efforts in locating the right “doctor” to fix his dear vehicle, regardless of whether the right doctor was located in hos hometown or it was some kind of auto body montclair. All he cared about was getting the best possible help to take care of his dear vehicle.
Man, some people certainly take things too far, with getting infatuated with a vehicle. I’m a car lover myself, but all the while I cannot help but forcing myself to do a little reality check, when I get trapped into far-fetched reasonings such as that one my friend was stuck into. When the car eventually got too old to be fixable, he almost decided about doing some kind of funeral. That’s just scary if you ask me, and obviously I talked some sense into him. Fortunately everything went well, and he’s now infatuated with his new car.
