There are games you watch, there are games you play, and there are games you coach. And then, there are game where you do all three things but mostly on imaginary level. As a good example of the former, I’m wondering if anyone out there has ever experimented with fantasy football? This is essentially an ingenious way for people to come up with wagers based on the performance statistics of actual sports players. It’s actually interesting in the sense it involves a good deal of strategic planning, and also because it’s based on real-world stats.
There are millions of fantasy football players out there, in case you didn’t know. Participants in this game usually get arranged in leagues of their own; actually, anyone can create a league – the person doing so is called the commissioner, and he gets to invite others to join in. Each person joins with their very own imaginary team, that’s comprised of real-life American football players… usually from the same football league, such as NCAA or NFL divisions. Once teams get assembled, fantasy matches are played out weekly, from the comparison of the actual on-the-field performance of the players. It’s actually entertaining, for anyone who’s into football; I remember I used to play fantasy football ever since I was a kid, but now these specialized websites sure make it a lot easier! If you feel like catching a blast from the bast, make sure to check one of these out.
