How to play vinyl records without electricity!

I was watching these cool videos, and it feels like I’m doing some neat high school science projects, so I thought I’d share for the sake of it. It may not be the most efficient way of listening to vinyl records, but it’s probably the most ingenious. For example, the first video demonstrates how to listen to a spinning record using nothing but a piece of paper:
Neat, uh? And it doesn’t sound so bad, either! Now, if you’re wondering if it would be possible to really play a record without electricity at all… yup, the same principle still kind of applies. Just remember this method involves using a metal needle, so it’s prone to damage your records. Make sure to try this one with old records you don’t care much about:
