Product design: it could blow your mind away!

You know… sometimes the simple things in life just seem to go by unnoticed, right? Let’s take product design development, for example: well, everyone knows and appreciates the work of a firefighter or a doctor, right? And that’s a good thing too, because those people actually save lives left and right. But when you think about it, there’s more to life than just saving lives; and while product designers may not do anything vital to assure the survival of our species, they certainly go a long way in making sure we’re living in a interesting an engaging little world.
In case you can’t really see what I’m talking about, let’s consider some examples of a new product design: there’s the coca cola bottle, the roomba roboting vaccuum cleaners, those post-it notes, and in fact we can go back as far as the invention of the wheel. That is the real power of product design, man! And if you put your head into it, trust me it will blow your mind away! Product designers are people responsible for creating things that make our life better or easier, or simply more interesting. They’re the kind of people that help bring some diversity into our daily consumerist lives, and for that we should be thankful.
