I was gonna legalize marijuana… but then I got high!

Dude… I don’t want to come across like some kind of pothead, but let’s face it: if marijuana was legalized, it could bring about real change, and effectively go as far as saving our economy. You might argue this is some kind of a half baked argument, but think about it: all the money people spend on marijuana (which is a LOT trust me – if you don’t believe it just make an excurstion to the nearest college) could be taxed, and the government would effectively get access to a handsome stream of revenue.
And that’s not even the real issue, as far as I’m concerned. You see, the real issue – from where I’m standing is that no kind of prohibition ever brings about good consequence. Remember the time when America established the so-called dry law? That was probably the time when people got boozed up the most! So I’m telling you… legalizing marijuana would be likely to bring about many positive chances and actual improvements on a social slace. If only things were so simple… if only potheads were not so ostentatiously passive. If only chance was really happening on a grand scale.
