Get your own personal brand of USB thumb drives!

Do you remember the old days when people carried around floppy disks to store their information? Man, those were lousy times! Besides the low disk space (a measly 1.44 Mb), floppies were completely unreliable, slow, and generally annoying. If there was someone who truly rejoiced with the advent of thumb drives and subsequent obsolescence of floppy disks, that was definitely me.
The coolest thing about USB flash drives (besides the generous offering of storage space, reliability and speed) is that it’s getting increasingly cheaper. One of these days they’ll start offering flash memory with your McDonald’s quarter pounder – that wouldn’t surprise me, and moreover I think it would be clever of them. Why so? Simply because you can get some wholesale USB flash drives on the extreme cheap side, nowadays; and let’s face it… an extra thumb drive will always please your customers, whatever your business may be.
In fact, I was browsing along this website focusing custom USB drives, and the thought ocurred to me of ordering a whole bunch with the 086 brand, to give away in the anniversary of this website. I think a branded USB flash memory is a great way of reminding people about your product, service or website by giving away something that’s generally useful on a daily basis.
Actually, with the kind of prices they’re offering (with drives ranging from 64MB to 8 GB), I guess this could also work great as a non-commercial gift. For example, you could get some branded USB sticks with your own mugshot to give away to your girlfriends, and express your affection proportionately with the storage space. Is that a wild idea or what? Yeah, it all kind of comes with being part of the XXI century, I guess!
