The day the earth stood still – Before and After!

In case you haven’t heard about it, they’re making a remake of the old 1950′s movie classic “The day the Earth Stood Still”. Well, in case you hadn’t heard about THAT, this is actually a cool movie about aliens, humans and their potential relationship. I really enjoy the plot behind this story because it doesn’t revolve around the stereotypical conflicts and mind-numbing interplanetary quarrels which are customary in this kind of film. Granted, there’s also a good deal of explosions and violence, but the setting is quite thought-provoking: are aliens innately evil, or is that only a reflection of our human nature? This is a question you’ll be likely to find yourself pondering while watching this movie. I’ll leave you with a special preview, comparing the old trailer to the new 2008 version!
